Bin Laden raid book knocks "Fifty Shades of Grey" from #1 on best-seller lists
It takes a former Navy SEAL to topple “Fifty Shades of Grey” from the top of the best-seller list. After twenty consecutive weeks (a record for USA Today’s Best-Selling Books list), “No Easy Day,” written under the pseudonym of Mark Owen along with AP reporter Kevin Maurer, grabbed the top spot. “No Easy Day,” is the story of the May 2011 Navy SEAL raid that resulted in Osama bin Laden’s death.
Mark Owen has been identified as SEAL Team 6 member Matt Bissonnette. He is currently under fire by the Pentagon for failing to submit the book for review under his non-disclosure agreement. Yesterday, Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta suggested Bissonnette should be prosecuted. Dutton Adult, the book’s publisher, states the book was vetted by an experienced lawyer familiar with the intricacies of military secrets and insists nothing classified has been revealed.
