24.04.12 | Charlotte Williams - The Bookseller
Octopus has acquired a book with recipes from Southern US-style slow-cooked food restaurant, Pitt Cue Co, which launched in the UK last summer.Publisher Stephanie Jackson acquired world rights from owners and consultants Tom Adams, Jamie Berger, Richard H Turner and Simon Anderson, and will publish the title in May 2013. Dishes will include favourites from their Soho restaurant including burnt end mash, smoked rib of beef and bourbon bone marrow, chipotle and confit garlic slaw, and rhubarb jelly and whipped custard.
Jackson said: "If you haven't eaten at Pit Cue Co. then I urge you to join the queue. But if you can't get to Carnaby Street, this book will show you how to recreate those hot, smoky, sticky, spicy, tender, sweet, finger-licking, bourbon-drinking good times at home.
"This is irresistibly delicious food to savour and share with friends and we're thrilled to be publishing next May."
