Last evening I had the great honour to spend an hour talking to Norwegian crime writer Jo Nesbo before a sell-out crowd at Newmarket's Rialto Theatre. Nesbo, looking more like a rock star than an author, is in NZ to attend the NZ Arts Festival in Wellington and to promote the latest, the seventh, in his world-wide best-selling Harry Hole series - Phantom.
Nesbo, resplendent in an All Blacks t-shirt, delighted the audience with his full and frank answers to the questions I put to him.And he spent a great deal of time later signing copies of his books for the many fans present.
